Our project coordinator, Sypros Yannopoulos, Prof. at the Department of Chemistry (University of Patras) and associated Research Director at Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), participated in the ICOOPMA 2024 conference as an invited speaker presenting the basic concepts and first results of their work related to the GRAPHERGIA project, with particular emphasis on the use of laser sources to produce high-quality graphene.
His Invited Lecture titled: ‘Leveraging Laser-Assisted Techniques for High-Quality Graphene and Graphene-Based Nanohybrids in Energy Storage Applications’ took place on the 25th of June 2024, in Pardubice, (Czech Republic). The conference audience, comprising approximately 120 attendees, primarily represented the communities of optics, optical materials, and advanced functional materials.
“I really enjoyed showcasing the cutting-edge laser-driven advancements in graphene for energy storage solutions developed through the GRAPHERGIA project at ICOOPMA 2024,” shared Spyros.
About ICCOPMA 2024
The 10th International Conference on Optical, Optoelectronic and Photonic Materials and Applications (ICOOPMA 2024), took place from the 23th to the 28th of June 2024 in Pardubice (Czech Republic), organized by the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the University of Pardubice.
ICOOPMA is an international conference series on optical, optoelectronic and photonic materials for a wide range of applications from telecommunications to photovoltaics, and optical, optoelectronic and electro-optic properties of all classes of materials and material systems.
It is a non-profit conference that is run by scientists for scientists without any institutional constraints and restrictions.
