Discover all GRAPHERGIA webinar resources now! Our hub proposes a series of webinars that share research and innovation insights across the GRAPHERGIA project’s activities.
Webinar #1 - IPR Management
How to Protect an Invention in Europe – European Patent
Speaker: Dr. Konstantinos Vavekis, European Patent Attorney, Euglottia (Greece).
This first GRAPHERGIA Hub Webinar Series was hosted on January 31st, 2025. It was open to the Graphene Flagship sister projects developing innovative solutions deploying graphene technologies. The session is dedicated to introducing the research and innovation project partners to the protection of innovation with European patents. It shares information on the concrete strategies and methodologies that can be implemented during the project lifetime, and beyond.
Webinar #2 - Sustainability and eco-design
Sustainability Assessment and Eco-Design For Graphene-based Products
Speaker: Matteo Maccanti, Next Technology Tecnotessile (Italy), Despoina Batsouli, ADAMANT COMPOSITES Ltd (Greece).
This second GRAPHERGIA Hub Webinar Series was hosted on March 28th, 2025. It was dedicated to discussing sustainability principles for evaluating environmental and socio-economic methodologies in product eco-design. It presents the eco-design principles for materials, processes, and development phases, and shares insights from key methodologies used in sustainability research, including Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Life Cycle Cost (LCC), and Social Life Cycle Assessment (SLCA).
Webinar #3 - Laser-Induced Graphene & MXenes for Wearable Devices
Laser-Induced Graphene and MXenes on Cross-Linked Polymer Substrates for Wearable Devices
Speakers: Professor Spyros Yannopoulos (Coordinator of GRAPHERGIA / FORTH, Greece) and Professor Marko Spasenovic (Coordinator of POLYGRAPH / the Center of Microelectronic Technologies, the University of Belgraden , Serbia).
This 3rd GRAPHERGIA Hub Webinar was hosted on November 13th, 2025. It was dedicated to discussing LIG and MXenes, both of which are rapidly emerging as versatile materials for sensing and actuation applications, ranging from physiological monitoring and gas detection to biosensing and smart electrodes. LIG is an ideal candidate for wearable sensors due to its flexibility, robustness, piezoresistive properties, and adaptability.
Webinar #4 - Intellectual property licencing
How to Handle Intellectual Property Licensing in Research Projects
Speaker: Dr. Konstantinos Vavekis, European Patent Attorney, Euglottia (Greece).
This fourth GRAPHERGIA Hub Webinar Series was hosted on February 3rd, 2026. It was open to the Graphene Flagship sister projects developing innovative solutions deploying graphene technologies. The session is dedicated to introducing the research and innovation project partners to the IP licensing management. It provides a concrete approach to establishing licences between innovators and the end users of their innovations.
