In the morning of the 17th of April 2026, a total of 46 participants joined the GRAPHERGIA Hub Webinar Series 5 conversation about how advanced laser-based methods are transforming the integration of graphene and functional nanomaterials into flexible substrates and next-generation electronic devices, targeting smart textile applications.
Our 5th Scientific Session started at 11:00 CEST, introduced by the GRAPHERGIA Communication and Dissemination Leader, Mona Marill, Project Manager at AUSTRALO. She then gave the floor to our coordinator, Professor Spyros Yannopoulos, Research Director at Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), who presented GRAPHERGIA’s progress in developing a novel laser Roll-to-Roll pilot line.
Professor Seoung-Ki Lee (Pusan National University, South Korea), was next. He explained an innovative laser-induced photothermal approach for the selective synthesis and functionalisation of nanomaterials, demonstrating how precise control of laser irradiation can activate localised regions within a substrate, enabling targeted material growth and integration.
The webinar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, as the topics presented by the professors generated notable interest among attendees.
