GRAPHERGIA participated in the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) Spring Meeting 2026, one of Europe’s leading conferences in materials science and engineering, held in Strasbourg, France. Researchers from our partner ESIEE Paris / Université Gustave Eiffel offered two scientific presentations highlighting our project’s recent advances in triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) technologies and energy harvesting systems.
Sera Jeon, Post-Doctoral Researcher, presented the work entitled “Electrical Characterisation of Triboelectric Materials and Nanogenerators” during Symposium I – I03 Nanogenerators & Smart Sensing Systems (SS3) on 25 May. Professor Philippe Basset delivered the invited presentation “Efficient Signal Rectification for High-Efficiency Triboelectric Nanogenerators” as part of Symposium I – I09 Nanogenerators & Smart Sensing Systems (SS9) on 27 May, that attracted around 80 participants from academia, research organisations and industry.
Reflecting on the event, Professor Philippe Basset commented:
“This conference provided an opportunity to present the latest findings from the GRAPHERGIA project on TENG conditioning electronics and to attend several presentations on current research in the field of textile TENGs.”

More about E-MRS 2026: European Materials Research Society Spring Meeting
The E-MRS 2026 Spring Meeting is a premier international materials science conference held at the Convention & Exhibition Centre of Strasbourg in France. Running on 25-29 May 2026, it serves as the largest European forum for researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to discuss innovations in the field.
The event features 24 parallel symposia focusing on both fundamental research and technological applications, spanning topics like advanced nanomaterials, artificial intelligence in materials development, renewable energy converters, and photovoltaics. The meeting also hosts an industrial forum where companies showcase new products, services, and career opportunities, and it highlights talent through the Young Researcher Awards.
It is jointly organised by the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) and the Foundation Jean-Marie Lehn.
