The 19th Edition of Europe’s Leading Graphene and 2D Materials Conference is landing in the Cubex Center in Prague, the Czech Republic capital, from the 14th to the 18th of October 2024: the Graphene Week 2024. GRAPHERGIA couldn’t miss this relevant date, standing at the forefront of cutting-edge research, innovation, diversity and technology. That is why, our innovators will not just co-host a workshop with our colleagues from the ARMS Project, but they will also present two posters about the GRAPHERGIA Project, besides being at the Graphene Flagship Hall with our sibling projects.
GRAPHERGIA Workshop about Smart Textiles and Energy Storage Co-Hosted with the ARMS Project
The highlight of our participation at the Graphene Week 2024 is the Workshop #2 “Integrating Graphene Innovations: From Smart Textiles to High-Performance Energy Storage”, co-hosted with our sibling project ARMS. The workshop will be on Wednesday the 16th of October from 11:15h to 13:15h, where our coordinator Spyros Yannopoulos, Research Director at Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), and our partners Despoina Batsouli, Head of Advanced Materials Division at Adamant Composites (ADA), and Philippe Basset, Professor at University Gustave Eiffel (UGE) will explain how GRAPHERGIA will power future energy with graphene.
In this session, you will discover how graphene is revolutionizing industries, exploring innovative graphene production methods and its diverse applications, including smart textiles and advanced energy storage solutions. Engage with leading experts and learn about the latest graphene technologies!
The ARMS Project speakers are Jinhua Sun, Associate Professor at Chalmers University of Technology, and Dr. Hamed Pourkheirollah, ARMS.

GRAPHERGIA at the Poster Sessions
Despoina Batsouli, the Head of Advanced Materials Division at Adamant Composites, will present a poster about GRAPHERGIA during the Poster Session A in the evening of the 15th of October from 18:30h to 20:30h. Elena Merli, Chemical Research and Technology at Next Technology Tecnotessile (NTT), will also present a second poster about our project during the Poster Session B on the 16th of October at the same time, from 18:30h to 20:30h.
GRAPHERGIA at the Graphene Flagship Hall
The Graphene Flagship Hall, highlighting the initiative and its 14 projects, will be at the heart of this year’s Graphene Week venue. The Graphene Flagship booth will greet visitors as they come up the stairs into the venue and will highlight the full initiative and how they work. As visitors proceed toward the auditoriums, they will walk by the individual project pods where you will find GRAPHERGIA, represented by our coordinator Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas, and our partners Next Technology Tecnotessile, Adamant Composites, University Gustave Eiffel, and AUSTRALO (AUS).
You will find us there at the following times:
- Monday 14th: 15:45h-16:15h.
- Tuesday 15th: 10:45h-11:15h, 13:15h-14:15h and 16:15h-16:45h.
- Wednesday 16th: 10:45h-11:15h, 13:15h-14:15h and 16:15h-16:45h.
- Thursday 17th: 10:45h-11:15h, 13:15h-14:15h and 16:15h-16:45h.
More about the Graphene Week 2024
Supported by the European Commission, Graphene Week 2024 stands at the forefront of cutting-edge research, innovation, and technology. As Europe’s leading and longest-running graphene conference, it unites over 500 international experts and students to discuss key topics concerning graphene and 2D materials. In 2024, the program welcomes over 200 speakers, an Innovation Forum, an Exhibition, and dedicated sessions on diversity, early career development, EC future opportunities, and 2D materials for the future. Join us for the 19th edition of Graphene Week 2024 in Prague, and let’s turn wonder into action!
The event is organized by the Graphene Flagship, and the host projects of this 19th edition are NEXT-2Digits, 2D-BioPAD and 2D-PRINTABLE.
